The ground rules,
in plain English.
What you can expect from us when you use our website, games, apps and typefaces, and what we ask of you. If anything's unclear, write to us.

Who we are
This website, partechsystems.com, and our games, apps and typefaces (together, the "Services") are run by Partech Systems Limited ("we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 09578752. Our registered office is 195–197 Wood Street, Suite RA01, London E17 3NU, United Kingdom. You can reach us at hello@partechsystems.com.
By using the Services you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use them. Some products come with their own terms, such as a licence agreement or an app store's rules; where they say something different, the product's own terms apply to that product.
Using our games and apps
- Most of our games and apps are free. You may use them for your own, personal, non-commercial enjoyment.
- Please don't copy, resell or redistribute them, take them apart to reuse their code, art or puzzles, interfere with how they work, or use them to break the law. Products we've released as open source are the exception: their own licence says what you may do.
- Some of our free games show ads served by Google. Our privacy policy explains how ads use your information and how to change your choices.
- Puzzles of the day, streaks, scores and saved progress are kept on your own device. If you clear your browser's data or uninstall an app, they may be lost, and we can't restore them.
Buying from us
- Apps on Google Play. If an app offers purchases or subscriptions, Google Play takes the payment, and Google Play's terms and refund policy apply to it. You can manage or cancel a subscription in Google Play at any time; it stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Desktop apps, such as StetPDF. Payments are handled by Onelink, Stripe's checkout, which sells the app on our behalf and works out any VAT or sales tax. The price, and what it includes, is shown on the app's page and at checkout. Your licence key lets you use the app as its licence describes.
- Typefaces. Free styles are licensed under the SIL Open Font License. Paid licences are governed by each typeface's End User Licence Agreement. How font licensing works.
- If something you've bought doesn't work as described, write to us and we'll put it right. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Our content
Everything on this website and in our products, including the games, puzzles, artwork, text, typefaces and code, belongs to us or to the people who license it to us, except where we say it's open source. You may share links to our pages, and screenshots of your own games and scores.
Things outside our control
- We work to keep the Services available and working, but we can't promise they'll always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, update or retire a free game, app or feature.
- Our website and products link to other sites and services, such as app stores, payment providers and ad networks. We aren't responsible for their content or how they work, and their own terms apply.
- Our apps help with everyday tasks, but they don't give legal, financial or medical advice. Please check anything important yourself.
Our responsibility to you
If we fail to meet these terms, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that failure. We're not responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable, for business losses (our Services are for personal use unless a licence says otherwise), or for loss you could have avoided by taking reasonable steps.
We don't exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and for breaking your legal rights as a consumer.
Children
Our Services are not directed at children under 13. If you're under 18, please check with a parent or guardian before buying anything.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example when we launch a new kind of product or the law changes. We'll change the date at the top of this page when we do. If a change matters for something you've bought, we'll tell you.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If there's a dispute, you can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales; if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring them in your local courts. Before that, please write to us: most things can be sorted out with an email.
