Yell Hop

Privacy policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

Yell Hop ("the app") is published by Partech Systems Limited ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app handles and why.

Information we collect

We don't ask you to create an account, and we don't collect your name, email address or contacts. Your game progress and settings (best distance, control mode, chosen look, sound and vibration preferences) are stored only on your device. We can't access them.

When you share a score, the app opens your device's share sheet with the text of your result. Nothing is sent to us.

Microphone

In voice mode the app uses your device's microphone to measure how loud you are, so the frog can walk and hop. The sound is analysed on your device, a fraction of a second at a time, to work out a loudness level. It is never recorded, saved or sent anywhere, to us or anyone else.

The microphone is only on while you are playing in voice mode, including the screen after a splash. It stops when you go back to the main menu or switch to another app. You can play without the microphone at any time by choosing Touch on the main menu, and you can turn microphone access off in your device's settings.

Usage statistics

To understand how people play and to improve the game, the app sends usage statistics to Google Analytics for Firebase, run by Google. These include events such as starting and finishing a game, scores, the settings you choose and which screens you open, together with basic device information (model, operating system, app version, country and language). Firebase identifies your copy of the app with a random app-instance ID. We don't send your name, email address, contacts or advertising ID, and we never use these statistics to target ads.

You can turn usage statistics off at any time in Settings → Share usage stats. Google's handling of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Firebase privacy information.

Advertising

The app is free and supported by ads served by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may collect and process:

  • device identifiers, such as the Android Advertising ID or Apple's IDFA (on iOS, only if you allow tracking)
  • your IP address and approximate location derived from it
  • device and app information, and how you interact with ads

This information is handled by Google under its own policy. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Your choices

  • Consent (UK, EEA and Switzerland): the app asks for consent before showing personalised ads. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Ad privacy choices.
  • iOS: you can allow or deny tracking when prompted, or later in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
  • Android: you can reset or delete your Advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling the app deletes all game data stored on your device. For data held by Google for advertising or usage statistics, use the controls described above.

Changes

If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here and change the date above.
