How it plays

Lens is a hidden-object game set in a crowded market. Rows of stalls under striped awnings are packed with teapots, keys, cats, kites and lanterns, all cut like a linocut print in ink black, saffron and teal on cream. Below the market is your list: ten things to find.

Each thing on the list is the only one of its kind in the scene. Pinch to look closer, drag to move around, and tap a thing when you spot it. A wrong tap counts as a miss and nothing more.

There are twenty markets, from two quiet rows of stalls to a grand bazaar where everything is smaller and set at odd angles, and a new market every day. Prefer a darker screen? Switch to Indigo night or Risograph in Settings.

Ten things, one of each

Every thing on your list is the only one of its kind in the market, so when you spot it, you know. The other stalls are full of look-alikes in other colours.

Look as close as you like

Pinch, or use the + and − buttons, to zoom right in, and drag to move around. On a computer, scroll to zoom.

No way to lose

There's no timer to beat and no lives. A wrong tap counts as a miss, and that's all.

A market a day

Twenty markets to open, from two quiet rows of stalls to a grand bazaar, and a new market every day.

Tips

How to play well

  1. Start zoomed out

Shapes are easier to spot than details. Look at the whole market first for the outline you want, then zoom in to check.

  2. Colour can fool you

The same thing turns up in saffron, teal or red, so look for its shape, not its colour.

  3. Work along the shelves

Go stall by stall and shelf by shelf, left to right. Don't forget the strings under the awnings and the things on the cobbles.

Questions

Asked and answered

Is Lens free? Are there ads?

Yes, it's free to play in your browser. There are no ads while you're looking and no banners. Your first five markets have no ads at all; after that an ad may appear between markets, at most once every five and never twice within two minutes. Each market has one free hint. After that, Show me one points at a thing, and in the browser it's free.

What does the hint do?

The free hint draws a circle around the part of the market where one of the things is hidden. Show me one circles the thing itself.

How do I open more markets?

Three markets are always open ahead of the ones you've cleared. Clear one and the next opens.

Will I lose my place if I leave?

No. What you've found, your misses and your time are saved as you go, so you can close the page and carry on later.

Where is my progress saved?

In your browser on this device. There's no account, and clearing the site's data deletes it.
